Lost?

Previous post April 2008... do you think I forgot my blogs?

Well, short answer no, but well more than a year, the real thing is that it is very
difficult to mantain a Blog as it is difficult to many other people, hopefully
things will change soon, and I will be back with many new things.

I have many ideas, most are "stale" at the moment but I hope I will be able to bring
them back to life.....

One new thing lately that I was trying to realize is a website / facebook fan page about
Monia Anzini, which you can still be able to see for a very short time at MoniaAnzini.info,
unfortunately this one didn't go well.... the problem was simple, mis-communication,
this one of my worst problems, I really hope I will learn from this mistake
and "fix" myself toward being a Great Communicator.

Go Go Daddy!

here comes another great offer from GoDaddy... after a long time we .INFO domains at
99 cents! (which in euros it looks even cheaper) so what did I do ? I bought 9 new domains and more in the planning:

NinaSenicar.info about the famous serbian model,
she is gaining lot of popularity in Italy.

IlMoro.info a small river near my hometown of Frisa...

and many others.... unfortunataly all of them still need lots of work!

My Stolen equipment!

On march 21st my car was stolen with it my Nikon D1X and most of my lenses (also the
most important lenses), after that I posted on flickr:



After that I decided I could attempt create some blogs which could help....given
the current cheapness of some TLDs I decided to create the following sites:

* d1xrubata.info Minimal site may with Drupal 6.1 it will be about my stolen camera a Nikon D1X.

* stolenlens.info Site for the lenses (English) made with Wordpress

* otticherubate.info and lentirubate.info sites for the lenses (Italian) made with Wordpress


Ok, this is enough for now... I will give you more details later!

P.S. Any help will be very appreciated if you make any small donation even a euro or two will be good start (I usually buy manual lenses which are CHEAP!)

If you read my other posts you will know I fell in love with some CMS.... especially Drupal and
wordpress, this last one is the tool I chose to describe my photography which I have to thank Flickr for!

more news from my "websphere" (sorry ibm) ... I decided to create a site for a model, well three
models.... I really was fascinated with them, as many of you will be ;)

You all (probably) know Daniella & Izabel... they are Victoria's Secrets models, Nikolett
is a bit less famour (for now) but she really deserve more ! :) You will certainly recognize
here on this Motorola commercial:




The site won't use any CMS for now... and is at Sabagou.com

after my first real CMS-based site (see my PulseTimes.com post) I am developing the
cms craze especially I am after Drupal and Wordpress. They are two great contents engines and I really hope to develop great stuff with them...

I am resurrecting lots of my idea thanks to them one of the examples is SuperEli.info
a site dedicated the italian TV star Elisabetta Canalis...

I am also looking for a good domain for a math-related website, which I will use
mostly to keep myself trained to Science(math,physics,chemistry etc) stuff (I still
hope one day to get a degree......)

I am not sure yet which one to use, drupal or wordpress, or should I consider joomla
or anything else? The feature I really need for that website will be LaTeX integration,
and since my hosting provider does not have LaTeX installed I am looking for various
alternatives,like:

- Install a LaTeX binary somewhere in a personal directory (not sure if my hosting
company will appreciate that or not)

- use MimeTex, a small LaTeX clone (only Drupal has a plugin that support MimeTex)

- Joomla? (don't like it really but.......we'll see)

- Looking for more alternatives...

This may I will go in London.... and I decided to make a site about it again it will be based
on wordress....

It will be about my travel and the pictures I will take then but possibly more generally
